Emil Cedercreutz Museum Culture Thursday Lecture: Experiences from Years as a Foreign Correspondent

At the September Culture Thursday lecture, journalist Leena Reikko shares her experiences from working as a foreign correspondent.

Freelance journalist Reikko, born in Pori, has worked in the field for over 30 years. Between 1990 and 2006, she reported for Yle's news and current affairs departments from Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, and the occupied Palestinian territories, focusing on human rights and freedom of speech. Over the years, she has gathered experiences from civil wars, wars, and refugee crises, as well as everyday life that she shared with local people while living in the Middle East. After the lecture, there will be time for audience questions and discussion.

The lecture is part of the Emil Cedercreutz Museum and Sataopisto's joint Culture Thursday lecture series, which covers topics in culture, history, and various fields. Participation is free.
