Emil Cedercreutz Museum Culture Thursday Lecture: Stone Age Settlement at Hiittenharjun - Life on the Shore of the Litorina Sea

Hiittenharjun in Harjavalta is home to one of Satakunta's most significant Stone Age settlements. The area contains the remains of up to 13 Stone Age dwellings, one of which was investigated through archaeological excavations in 2023-2024. During the lecture, we return to the time when the waves of the Litorina Sea washed the shores of Harjavalta - what do the finds tell us about Stone Age people, their daily lives, and their environment? The lecturer is archaeologist Teemu Väisänen.

The lecture is part of the Emil Cedercreutz Museum and Sataopisto's joint Culture Thursday lecture series, which covers topics in culture, history, and various fields. Participation is free.
