Artificial Intelligence - Christian Perspectives on New Technology

A weekend course at Karku Evangelical Institute examining artificial intelligence from two angles: as a practical tool and as a subject for Christian reflection. No prior knowledge is required - the course suits beginners and parish workers, volunteers, and communicators alike.

The programme covers the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, its applications in writing, communication, and missionary work, as well as more challenging questions: data security, deepfakes, truth, and what the age of artificial intelligence reveals about human dignity and calling. The course is taught by Tommi Hakkari (communications director at Open Doors Finland) and Martti Pyykönen (communications coordinator at Sley), who has trained organizations and companies in AI use.

The course runs from Friday 9.10 at 16:30 to Sunday 11.10 with lunch. The programme includes full board, sauna access, and Sunday worship.

Prices with your own bedding: 223 € (full board, 2 beds, shared facilities), 263 € (full board, 1 bed, shared facilities), or 263 € (full board, more comfortable 2 beds, private toilet and shower).
