Monologue Eila's Story at Tikankonttti in Närhilä

The second programme in the "Culture for Older Adults" project is the monologue Eila's Story, written and performed by Kati Ahmaharju. The performance takes place at Tikankonttti in Närhilä on Friday 2.10 at 18:00 and simultaneously opens the week for older people. The story was previously shown at the opening of the Torppar Museum.

Eila's Story is a journey through memories spanning the years 1955-1995. Eila has lived her life as a farm mistress, and her memories bring forth things familiar to that era - joyful and serious moments alternating, as in life generally. The performance is a tribute to farm mistresses and their great work for the countryside and communities, not forgetting the farmers' contribution.
