Sampo Soikoon! Flamenco on Winter Street

At Sampo Soikoon! club, the Helsinki-based flamenco collective Imperfecto welcomes singer-songwriter Vilma Talvitie. The evening combines Nordic flamenco, Finnish folk tradition, and world music.

Imperfecto presents the miniature work Northern Fire, which had its world premiere at the Helsinki Flamenco Festival. The piece brings together traditional flamenco styles - palos and their modern interpretations - with lyrics drawn from Finnish folk heritage.

Vilma Talvitie performs her Piano Body Percussion live concept as a one-woman orchestra: voice, piano, body percussion, and percussion instruments combine into a whole where Finnish-Ugric roots and influences from around the world are heard. The evening features songs from her albums.

The collaboration between Imperfecto and Talvitie began in 2023 and now expands into a full evening of performances, with video art also featured.
