Jaala Arena Summer Season Finale

Jaala Arena's summer season concludes with a festive evening featuring Vicky Rosti, Freeman and Menneisyyden Vangit. The band Menneisyyden Vangit celebrates its 35th anniversary at the same time - it was founded in 1991 when Virve Rosti and Freeman met by chance and decided to join forces.

Virve "Vicky" Rosti rose to fame in 1974 when she won the Finnish Iskelmusic Championship at age 16. Since then, she has toured throughout Finland and recorded 10 albums. Well-known hits include Kun Chicago Kuoli, Tuolta Saapuu Charlie Brown, Oon Voimissain and Sata Salamaa. Leo "Freeman" Friman is best known for his songs Ajetaan tandemilla, Kaksi lensi yli käenpesän and Osuuskaupan Jane, and has also performed with the band Uusi Fantasia, whose song Liian myöhään received extensive radio play.

The evening's third performer is impressionist Matti Peltola, whose repertoire includes Hjallis Harkimo, Jope Ruonansuul, Tami Tamminen, Kai Kunnas, Vesa-Matti Loiri, M.A Numminen, Cheek and Ville Haapasalo - as well as many other well-known names.

The evening concludes with fireworks. Areena Café serves throughout the evening and also offers appetizers and drinks.
