Pyörteistä Exhibition at Kivipankki Upper Floor

Pyörteistä is a joint exhibition by ten artists exploring flow from the perspectives of nature, humanity, and creative process. The exhibition comprises paintings, sculptures, graphic prints, and collages.

The exhibition is organized by the Akanvirta group, whose members met during art studies at Lapland's open university. For the group, akanvirta - a current flowing against the stream - symbolizes art's ability to resist and question the harsh values of today's world.

Group members are Leena Anttila, Eeva Hakola, Minna Heikkinen, Tuula Heinonen, Noemi Olmedo, Maija Palo, Anne Seppälä, Mirka Sillanpää, Marika Sokero, and Silja-Tuuli Tyrkkö. The exhibition is displayed on the upper floor of Kivipankki in Jämsä. Organizer: Kivipankki ry.
