Elinkelpoinen - Exhibition in the Stone Bank Basement

Hilkka Luosa is a visual artist from Tampere - a painter and colorist - for whom animal rights, the diversity of nature, and the preservation of the planet as viable for all species have long been central themes.

The Elinkelpoinen exhibition brings together works created by Luosa in recent years on these subjects. A broad range of paintings is on display, exploring the relationship between humans and animals - both positive and negative. The subjects are sometimes heavy, but Luosa's paintings convey warmth toward each theme they address.
