Organ Tale BUU: Kertu and Hukkas' Adventures

Kertu lives in a very small village - so small it barely exists. When a great wind sweeps across the world, houses and people are carried away with it. Kertu is blown away from her family and finds herself in an unfamiliar forest, where she meets a wolf. The wolf becomes her friend and confidant, and together they set out toward a magical tree called Buu.

The organ tale was created by author Kari Hotakainen (text) and composer Jouni Hirvelä (music). The work originated from an email that organist Jan Lehtola sent to Hotakainen in October 2024 - Lehtola told him about the Music House's organs and asked him to write a story around them. Hotakainen describes the commission as "simultaneously both mad and interesting" and agreed.

The performance features Eerik Ohtamaa (organ) and Martina Roos as narrator. The performance is in Finnish, recommended age 5+. Tickets 12,50-35 €.
