Satamatango

The Satamatango concert takes place on 10.10.2026 at 19:30 at Satama Arena in Kotka. The programme features Argentine and Finnish tango performed by vocal soloists, a tango orchestra, and dancers. The concert lasts approximately 2 hours including an intermission.

Tickets: 29 € (including VAT and service fee). A booking fee of 1.50 € + 0.65% of the order amount will be added, as well as any applicable delivery and payment method fees.

The Satamatango tapas platter can be ordered in advance and also before the concert and during the intermission. The platter includes empanadas (beef pastries), provoleta (grilled cheese), rabas fritas (squid rings), sandwich de miga (cold cuts, cheese and egg sandwich), pimientos de padrón (roasted peppers), and chimichurri (chili herb sauce). Price 19.50 €, or tapas platter + 12 cl of house wine 25 €.

About the performers:

Martin Alvarado is an Argentine tango singer returning to Kotka on his 60th international concert tour. Hector de Rosas, singer with legendary tango composer Astor Piazzolla's ensemble, has described him as "Buenos Aires' finest voice", and British media ranks Alvarado among Argentina's leading contemporary tango performers. Over the past 25 years, he has performed in the United States, most European countries, and in Finland including at the Helsinki Music House and Tampere Hall.

Emilia Vesalainen-Pellas is a dark-voiced soprano living in Pyhtää who performs throughout Finland. Recently she has also appeared at the Finnish National Opera. Her repertoire covers classical music and Argentine tango.

Sami Pirttilahti has studied bandoneon with several world-renowned Argentine masters and performed in numerous countries including Argentina. In Finland, he is known among other things from the band Tango del norte.
