Swedish Asshole feat. Akademiska Sångföreningen

Swedish Asshole is a collaborative work by Johanna Karlberg, Antonia Atarah and Alen Nsambu, functioning for them as character, attitude and artistic method simultaneously. Three antagonists - each haunted by both inferiority complex and delusions of grandeur - battle for visibility, audibility and victory as the quartet's song rises high.

The work dismantles misconceptions about inviolability, whiteness and the longing for belonging. Finland-Swedish identity emerges as a cultural identity and in-between space - squeezed between east and west, Finnishness and Swedishness. The provocative and absurd approach crystallizes into a motto: "art is easy, anything can be art."

The work is part of the Liikkeellä marraskuussa festival 5-15.11.2026. An open Soup Talks discussion session with a local artist takes place on 12.11 at 12:00 at Caisa.
