Seniors' Week - Everyday Encounters in Viljakka

Seniors' Week runs 5-11 October 2026 under the theme of everyday encounters. An event is held at Viljakka parish hall on Tuesday 6 October 2026 starting at 10:00.

The day begins with a walk to the church hill. From 10:30-12:00 there are workshops that activate body and mind, with lunch shared at 11:00. In the afternoon, Pasi Latva-Pukkila leads group singing at 12:00, followed by a webinar on media arts - fact or fiction? - at 13:00 hosted by SeniorSurf, an initiative of the Central Union for Elderly Care. A closing service is led by Soile Kukkonen at 14:00.

The event is organized jointly by Ylöjärvi parish, Ylöjärvi city, Tredu, FinFami Pirkanmaa, the Pirkko project, and Lähitori/Ylöjärvi.
