Seniors' Week, everyday encounters in Kuru

Finland's Seniors' Week is celebrated 5-11 October 2026 under the theme of everyday encounters. In Kuru parish hall, the event takes place on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, starting at 12:00.

The day begins with a shared lunch at 12:00. Afterwards, workshops for body and mind are offered: grip strength measurement, presentation of library services and the accessible library Celia, hand massage, writing and word art workshop, and presentation of FinFami Pirkanmaa's activities. From 14:00 to 15:00, the programme includes a quiz, group singing, and a reflection.

The day is organised jointly by Ylöjärvi parish, Ylöjärvi city, Tredu, FinFami Pirkanmaa, the Pirkko project, and Lähitori/Ylöjärvi.
