Wool Day showcases the story of Finnish wool from sheep to finished yarn, crafts and products. On site are sheep from Haltiala farm, yarn dyeing and spinning, plus 100 percent domestically produced wool yarn, crafts and felts. Lamb sausage is also sold, and domestic wool-supporting projects are on display.

Visitors can try knitting, felting and raw wool crafts themselves - guidance is offered for both beginners and experienced makers. The Maijansali reading room at Oodi Central Library also features wool-related programming.
