Eetu Huhtala: Going Nowhere

Going Nowhere comprises works made from steel and aluminium, whose forms and functions draw from large-scale objects and equipment familiar from public spaces. The exhibition explores themes of division, distance between people, and the fragility of shared space - as well as the experience that this distance cannot be bridged.

Eetu Huhtala (born 1993, Äänekoski) is a sculptor based in Helsinki and working in Kerava. His practice encompasses moving mechanical sculptures, large-scale metal works, and multisensory pieces. In his work, everyday objects and structures connect to personal experiences and social issues - mechanical objects often become humanly incomplete.
