Grouper (US) + Roy Montgomery (NZ)

American musician and producer Grouper, Liz Harris, performs on Monday 16 November at Temppeliaukio Church. Harris's music combines ambient, dream pop and drone - gently sounding guitars and keyboards, ghostly whispering vocals and various effects build compositions that move in the same space as, for example, Mazzy Star, Bill Callahan, Julianna Barwick, Mount Eerie or Stars Of The Lid.

Grouper's latest album is "Shade" from 2021. In autumn, the second studio album "Linda's Head" by the shoegaze band Helen, featuring Harris, Jed Binderman and Scott Simmons, will also be released - a work that has been in progress for eleven years.

The programme also features New Zealand composer Roy Montgomery, whose latest release is "Nebular" with Martha Skye Murphy from early August.
