About the venue

Ateneum is Finland's national gallery and the country's largest art museum, housed in a neoclassical building completed in 1887 to designs by architect Theodor Höijer. Its permanent collection spans Finnish art from the 18th century to the 1950s, with works by Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Albert Edelfelt and Hugo Simberg among the highlights. The museum sits on Rautatientori, right in central Helsinki.
