The Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden, founded in 1829, is one of Finland's oldest gardens and belongs to the University of Helsinki. It holds thousands of plant species across outdoor beds and a series of historic greenhouses. Alongside its research and teaching role, it serves as a relaxed green retreat in the city centre.
