About the venue

Pyynikki Summer Theatre is an open-air theatre set on the wooded Pyynikki ridge in Tampere. Its rotating auditorium - one of very few in the world - lets the stage shift mid-performance as the audience turns to face a new scene. The theatre has run summer seasons since the 1950s and draws audiences from across Finland.
