About the venue

Senate Square is Helsinki's grand neoclassical centrepiece, laid out in the 19th century to designs by Carl Ludwig Engel. The square is flanked by Helsinki Cathedral, the Government Palace and the main building of the University of Helsinki. It regularly hosts large open-air concerts, public celebrations and national events.
