About

Aikakone (Finnish for 'time machine') is a Finnish eurodance group formed in 1995, built around lead vocalist Sani (Saija Aartela), backing vocalist and lyricist Vera, musician Alex Ojasti, and producer-composer Maki Kolehmainen. Their 1995 debut album 'Tähtikaaren taa' went triple platinum in Finland, making them one of the most prominent Finnish pop acts of the decade. The group twice competed in Finland's Eurovision selection, released new material as recently as 2025, and continues to tour despite Kolehmainen's death in June 2024.
