Dhamal World Collective is a Finnish-Indian duo formed by singer-songwriter Charlotta Kerbs from Lepplax, Ostrobothnia, and musician Sanjay Khan from Jaipur, Rajasthan. The two met at a festival in Sweden in the summer of 2022 and began weaving together North Indian folk traditions and Ostrobothnian music, performing on instruments such as tablas, kartal, tanpura and harmonium. Their 2025 album 'Breaking free' marks their first major studio release. Kerbs is also known as the founder and longtime frontwoman of the Finnish soul-funk band The Napkins.
Dhamal World Collective released their debut album 'Breaking free', which includes the track 'Dama dam mast qalandar' composed by Charlotta Kerbs and Sanjay Khan.
Dhamal World Collective performed a concert in Närpes, Ostrobothnia, as part of a summer concert series supported by Svenska kulturfonden.
Konserttikeskus added Dhamal World Collective to its school concert programme starting from the 2024-2025 academic year.
The duo performed at Saltfest 2024 in Loviisa, Finland.
