15.00 | Kasvu: Beloved Landscapes
In the concert of the Kasvu ensemble, we are inspired by diverse natural landscapes: photographs taken by the musicians and music bring into the hall forest landscapes, wetlands and meadows. The most attentive will immediately notice that some creature has flown onto the stage from these landscapes! Did a grasshopper fly by? Or a long-haired moose? The forest ecosystem works like a band at its best!
The concert presents nature's diversity through music, play, contemporary poetry and facts. In the concert, we take captivating, tender and thrilling musical journeys the length of a melody to nearby and distant nature, projecting various natural landscapes onto a screen. At the same time, we wonder together about what creatures live in these different landscapes.
The Kasvu ensemble's multifaceted musical language touches and carries the audience along. The warm sound of singing and string instruments combines with the diverse sonic world of accordion and percussion. The concert also features many rare folk instruments, such as mouth harp, kantele, jouhikko and jaw harp.
