American blues-rock legend George Thorogood & The Destroyers play a live show in Järvenpää.
George Thorogood & The Destroyers are an American blues-rock band founded in Wilmington, Delaware in 1973, led by guitarist and vocalist George Thorogood. Over five decades they have sold more than 15 million albums, logged over 8,000 live shows, and built a catalog of hard-driving originals and blues covers that made them fixtures of rock radio and MTV. Their 1982 anthem "Bad to the Bone" became one of the most licensed tracks in film and television history.
The live album 'The Baddest Show on Earth: Greatest Hits Live' was released on June 12, 2026 via Craft Recordings, featuring performances spanning 1978 to 2024 including previously unreleased tracks.
The Destroyers were inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on April 28, 2026, inducted by Dweezil Zappa.
The band announced 21 new North American dates for the 'Baddest Show on Earth Tour' running from March to April 2026.
Thorogood's Gibson ES-125TDC 'Bad to the Bone' guitar was placed on permanent exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
The band launched the 'Baddest Show on Earth Tour' in February 2025, just before Thorogood's 75th birthday, taking them across the US, Australia and New Zealand.
