Jaakko Laitinen is a Finnish singer and lyricist, best known as the frontman of Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha - a Lapland-born ensemble that has been blending Balkan folk rhythms with old Finnish iskelmä since 2009. The band, whose members all hail from Lapland, calls its genre 'Lapland-Balkan' and has released seven studio albums, toured over 20 countries, and won the Etno Emma award in 2025 for the album Äyskäri.
