Jorma Uotinen (born 28 June 1950 in Pori) is a Finnish dancer, choreographer and singer whose career spans over five decades and more than 40 countries. He danced with the Finnish National Ballet (1970-1976), then joined Carolyn Carlson's experimental group at the Paris Opera, before leading the Helsinki City Theatre Dance Company and later the Finnish National Ballet (1992-2001) as artistic director. Awarded the title of professor in 2012, he is also a long-running judge on Tanssii tähtien kanssa and co-hosts the popular podcast Sami & Jorma.
Uotinen co-hosted the 2026 edition of Yle's Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) alongside Sami Sykkö and Jasmin Beloued.
Uotinen underwent a hip operation in late 2025 and reported a successful recovery by early 2026.
Uotinen celebrated his 75th birthday with a gala concert at Finlandia Hall in Helsinki on 31 October 2025.
Uotinen performed at the Lux Musicae festival in Siuntio on 15 November 2025, presenting a French chanson programme with pianist Jari Hakkarainen.
The Sami & Jorma podcast, co-hosted with Sami Sykkö on Podimo, quickly rose to become one of Finland's most-listened podcasts after its spring 2024 launch.
