JOY (Anonymous) is a London electronic duo formed by childhood friends Henry Counsell and Louis Curran. They first drew wide attention during the COVID-19 pandemic by hauling their gear to the banks of the Thames for guerrilla open-air sets that quickly swelled from handfuls of passers-by into crowds of hundreds. Their two albums - Human Again (2021) and Cult Classics (2023) - and collaborations with Fred again.., Skrillex, Four Tet and Eliza Rose have cemented their place at the heart of UK dance music.
JOY (Anonymous) delivered their debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix on 1 August 2026, featuring unreleased tracks and new collaborations with MPH, Motherboard and Todd Edwards.
