Ánnámáret: Bálvvosbáiki
23 €
Bálvvosbáiki is an audiovisual concert where Ánnámáret's joik of luohtit intertwines with Turkka Inkilä's electronic music, Ilkka Heinonen's effected joik, and Marja Viitahuhda's video art - a unified work combining animation, archival footage, and material filmed in Sápmi.
The luohtit examine how Sámi worldview manifests in our time. The concert addresses themes of colonialism and environmental consciousness, posing questions: are the goddesses Sáráhkka, Juhksáhkka, and Uksáhkka still present? Can one experience the power of the seidis through joik? What does intergenerational grief feel like?
The concert is part of Kiasma's exhibition programme "Entiset ainoat - saamelaisen taiteen aika". The concert ticket includes access to Kiasma's exhibitions on the day of the performance.
