Löyly Syndicate is a Tampere-based jazz quartet led by bassist and composer Jukka Haavisto, who holds a master's degree in jazz improvisation from the University of Stavanger. The group weaves Finno-Ugric melodic roots, Nordic jazz atmospheres and the electric pulse of contemporary fusion into a single, distinctive sound. Their debut album Reflections (Eclipse Music, 2022) drew strong international reviews, and the second album Juniper Path is set for release in October 2026, backed by a grant from the Alfred Kordelin Foundation.
