About

Sepultura is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in Belo Horizonte in 1984, widely regarded as the most internationally successful metal act ever to come out of Latin America. They rose to global prominence in the 1990s with Chaos A.D. and Roots - albums that fused thrash metal with Brazilian indigenous music and politically charged lyrics. After more than four decades and tours across roughly 80 countries, the band announced a worldwide farewell tour in late 2023, with their final concert scheduled for November 7, 2026 in São Paulo.
