Sophie Labelle is a French-Canadian transgender cartoonist, novelist, and public speaker from Québec, now based in Finland. She launched the webcomic Assigned Male (also published as Serious Trans Vibes) in 2014, drawing on her own experiences as a trans woman to tell the story of Stephie, a young transgender girl navigating everyday life with humor. Beyond the comic, she has written children's books, novels, and educational guides on gender identity, and is an active voice in the transgender rights movement.
