The Brand New Heavies are an English funk and acid jazz band formed in 1985 in Ealing, London, by guitarist Simon Bartholomew, bassist Andrew Levy, and drummer Jan Kincaid. After American vocalist N'Dea Davenport joined in 1990, the group broke into the mainstream and became one of the defining acts of the acid jazz movement. Their 1994 album Brother Sister reached number 4 on the UK Albums Chart, went platinum, and earned a BRIT nomination - while the band racked up sixteen UK Top 40 singles and over 2.5 million record sales worldwide.

The Brand New Heavies completed an Australian 'Brother Sister 30' Tour in February 2025, playing Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
2024-09
The 30th anniversary deluxe edition of Brother Sister was released in September 2024 on remastered 2LP, 2CD and digital formats.

In July 2024, the band announced plans to release a deluxe edition of Brother Sister titled Brother Sister 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition.

The UK leg of the 'Brother Sister 30' Tour ran through November 2024, with dates in Sheffield, Cambridge, Coventry, Newcastle, Brighton and Cardiff.

The band released the career retrospective 'Never Stop… The Best Of' on 29 September 2023, followed by a sold-out Greatest Hits Tour with the London Concert Orchestra.
