Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha is a Finnish ensemble founded in 2009 that blends Balkan folk rhythms with old Finnish iskelmä - a genre the band calls Lapland-Balkan. Led by singer-songwriter Jaakko Laitinen, the five-piece has released seven studio albums and performed in over 20 countries, keeping a pace of roughly 70 Finnish gigs a year. Their 2024 album Äyskäri won the Vuoden Etno prize at the 2025 Emma Gaala, Finland's main music industry awards.
