Rainbow Seniors' Writing Workshop
ilmainen
In this writing workshop led by author Heidi Airaksinen, participants write gentle autobiographical exercises and discuss the thoughts and experiences they evoke, including rainbow life experiences. The workshop is held in the Kanerva room at Itäkeskus Library. Free admission, no registration required. Bring writing materials - and snacks if you wish.
Heidi is an expert in rainbow history and biographical writing. She has published three queer-historical crime novels and co-authored a non-fiction book on Finnish rainbow history with Tiina Tuppurainen. Heidi's small blind dog Dandy is also present - she loves people and always needs petting.
The workshop (15.15-16.45) is part of Itäkeskus Library's senior Pride event on 24.6. from 12-17. The day's other activities include a Pride short story hook (12-13), a sing-along for seniors led by Kirsikka Ojala / Opera Tellus (13-14), and Opera Tellus pride improvisation led by Satu-Lotta Pitko (14-15).
