Summer Art Club for Primary School Children - 10:00-14:00

Looking for creative activities during summer break? Join Kanneltalo's free summer art club!

Welcome to Kanneltalo's free summer art club. Themes and techniques change from session to session. You'll enjoy insect observation and drawing, wax crayon and ink painting experiments, making window decorations and creating coloured wax sculptures. You'll also learn a simple Japanese braiding technique.

Light snacks are provided for all participants in the art club.

The art club's open activities are designed for primary school children on summer holiday; younger children are welcome to join with an adult.

SUMMER ART CLUB WEEKLY PROGRAMME:

Mon 3.8. Strange Collage!
We cut images from recycled picture books and magazines and create absurd and funny artworks by combining them.

Tue 4.8. Mini Dolls
We create new friends that fit in your pocket! We use wooden sticks and thread.

Wed 5.8. Golden Mosaic
We compose a small mosaic from recycled treasures. We use golden glue!

Thu 6.8. Stencil and Stamping
We create our own stencils and decorate a small fabric bag by stamping paint.

Fri 7.8. Flowers' Portrait
We draw and paint real flowers using beautiful Inktense pens.
