Summer Art Workshop for Primary School Children - 10:00-14:00

Kanneltalo offers a free summer art workshop for primary school-age children, though younger children are also welcome with an adult. The workshop operates on a drop-in basis with no advance registration required, and participants receive a light snack. Teaching languages are Finnish, English, and French. The instructor is visual artist Chloé Mahy-Hulkko.

Location: Tempo at Kannelmäki Library. Time: Mon-Fri 3-7 August, 10:00-14:00.

Weekly programme:

Mon 3.8. Strange Collage - cut images from recycled children's books and magazines and create absurd artworks by combining them.

Tue 4.8. Miniature Figures - craft small figures from toothpicks and thread that fit in your pocket.

Wed 5.8. Golden Mosaic - compose a small mosaic from recycled treasures using golden glue.

Thu 6.8. Stencil and Stamping - make your own stencils and decorate a small fabric bag by stamping with paint.

Fri 7.8. Flower Portraits - draw and paint real flowers using Inktense pencils.
