When launching a business, many questions naturally arise. By participating in this session, you can develop a clearer picture of your first steps as an entrepreneur.

Do you already know which form of entrepreneurship interests you? What is the difference between being a light entrepreneur, a sole proprietor, and a limited company?

What changes when you become an entrepreneur? What permits and insurance do you need? How do taxation and value-added tax (VAT) work?

Why is it worth creating a business plan first? What else should you consider when starting a business and in what order should everything be done?

The information includes a section on startup grants, where an expert from Helsinki's employment services will explain in more detail who can apply for a startup grant and what conditions apply to receiving the support.

Do not start full-time business operations before your support application has reached the employment authorities!

The general part of the business information lasts approximately 45 minutes plus questions and answers, followed by the employment services section on startup grants. (Total duration approximately 1.5 hours.)

The information is held in English remotely via Teams and is free of charge.

You will receive a confirmation of your registration and the Teams link via email the day before the event and again shortly before it starts. Sometimes messages may end up in spam or offers folders, so it is worth checking those as well.

The information is not recorded, but presentation materials are shared with participants.
