J. Karjalainen, who began his recording career in 1981, is one of Finland's most beloved singers, songwriters and independent artists. The artist, who adapted American musical heritage to Finnish conditions, has always been in a class of his own regardless of which part of this musical treasure he has explored.
J. Karjalainen's songs such as Three Cowboys, Ankkurinappi, Doris, Sekaisin, He, The Man to Whom Nothing Ever Happens, Telepathy, Wild Lupines, Where is Väinö?, Gone Man, Stindebinde and many others are an integral part of the Finnish soundscape.

Billnäs Bruk
Billnäs Bruk venue is one of the summer's most interesting concert locations: a rough and historic industrial hall in a beautiful mill village by the river.
The concert is held in Iso paja, which is a historic 18th-century industrial hall - rain does not affect the event. Billnäs is located in the West Uusimaa mill area in a beautiful river valley. The distance from Helsinki is exactly one hour. Trains also stop nearby, in Karjaa.
