J. Karjalainen (born Jukka Tapio Karjalainen, 1 April 1957, Helsinki) is one of Finland's most enduring singer-songwriters, active since his debut album in 1981 with J. Karjalainen ja Mustat Lasit. Drawing on blues, folk, country and soul, he has shaped Finnish-language rock lyrics across more than four decades - earning the informal title 'the Bruce Springsteen of Finland'. His 2025 studio album Suomalaista muotoiluu debuted at #2 on the Finnish albums chart.
