Jolly Jumpers - Mobile Babylon 20 Years

Jolly Jumpers celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album Mobile Babylon with special concerts in Tampere and Helsinki in July 2026. These are the band's only performances in these cities during summer and the rest of 2026.

Mobile Babylon, released in 2006, is one of the most acclaimed Finnish albums of the 2000s. According to guitarist Arimatti Jutila, the concerts will feature the album's best tracks along with a comprehensive selection of songs from the band's other records. Last year the band played eight shows, all of which sold out quickly.

The band's core consists of the original trio Petri Hannus, Marko Leuanniemi and Keijo Pirkola. The current lineup also includes Arimatti Jutila from The Flaming Sideburns and Riitaoja, as well as Jukka Nousiainen from Iiriksessä and Räjäyttäjät. The band, which started in Tyrnävä in 1980, has been described as playing mulch-americana, tundra-garage and potato-field blues. The comeback album Rural Slang, released last year, received five stars in nearly all reviews and Emma nominations in the categories Best Alternative and Critics' Choice.
