Hellsinki Metal Festival Kick Off: Warmoon Lord, Gloomy Grim - Tribute to Agathon, Malformed

GLOOMY GRIM - TRIBUTE TO AGATHON

Hellhouse Records 666, in collaboration with Satanath Records, releases a memorial album honouring Gloomy Grim's leader Agathon (also known as Yka, also known as Juha Hintikka), who was also known from Airdash, Soulgrind, Thy Serpent, Corporal Punishment and many other more or less metal bands.

Agathon died of cancer in 2022, and for the band members it was clear that a memorial concert should be organized. The idea grew from Micko Hell's vision to create a tribute album where Yka's other bands and related bands cover Gloomy Grim songs. Bands such as Barathrum, IGIGI, Unnamed Grave, Walhalla, Soulgrind and others participated. Thy Serpent and Micko Hell's St.Petrov perform entirely new songs - St.Petrov's track is a collaboration with Agathon that remained unfinished at the time.

The album is released digitally by Hellhouse Records 666 and physically by Satanath Records, which was also Gloomy Grim's label towards the end.

The memorial concerts are held as part of Hellsinki Metal Festival at the See You In Hell club at Bar Loose.
