Finnish progressive rock classics band Tabula Rasa returns to the stage. Founded in 1972 and having released two albums, the band was one of the early pioneers of Finnish progressive rock. Building their own sound on the foundations of Cream, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, and Wigwam, Tabula Rasa ended their career with the single "Rakastatko vielä kun ilta", which is also the band's most well-known song.

The idea of a comeback materialized at a memorial concert for guitarist Heikki Silvennoinen in May 2025. Silvennoinen was one of the band's founding members, as were bassist Tapio Suominen and drummer Asko Pakkanen, who are part of the current lineup. In addition to them, the stage will feature Jukka Salmela, who was the soloist in Tabula Rasa's original version, his daughter singer Anna-Greta Salmela, keyboardist Jorma Kahilainen, flutist-organist Markus Pajakkala, and guitarist Kemmo Silvennoinen.

Kemmo, who grew up in the rock and heavy metal world, has found new ways to approach the guitar through his father Heikki's playing. "Through Tabula Rasa, a completely new world opened up for me, and I fell in love with it. It's wonderful that I've been able to bring my own perspective to Tabula Rasa's songs, for example in guitar solos. You can get many good tips from Heikki's guitar playing about how the sound should be and how a song needs to have a good melody", says Kemmo Silvennoinen. Drummer Asko Pakkanen, for his part, notes that the comeback is not associated with any grand plans: "Right now, playing together is really enjoyable and it feels natural to go out on tour. We'll do this as long as it feels meaningful to us."

Accessibility: Tavastia's ground floor is accessible. There is a small threshold at the entrance with an accessible ramp, and the venue has an accessible restroom.
