Family First Up the Tree
Riihivuori Areena, Muurame
"Family First Up the Tree" is a comedy about the dark side of cottage life - about how Finns enjoy their summer cottage, even if reluctantly. The family's mother Helena (Annu Valonen) has her hands full getting her adult children (Maiju Jokinen, Jyri Ojansivu) to behave well enough so that an invited gardening magazine editor can take presentable photos of blooming peonies and the new compostable outhouse. But things go wrong even before the cooler is carried into the cottage.
The script is written by Tiina Iisala, author of the play "One Evening", together with Antti Tuomas Heikkinen. Music is provided by TE4 Band. On stage are the theatre's own actors Pietari Pentikäinen and Teemu Sytelä, as well as guests Annu Valonen, Jari Silventoinen, Maiju Jokinen, Jyri Ojansivu, Mikko Maasola, Antti Lattu and Anni Happonen - additionally, the Stage group from UMC Dance Studios performs on stage. Choreography by Neija Välilä.
Tickets: 34 € (regular ticket), 30 € (pensioner/unemployed/conscript), 20 € (student/under 18), 29 €/person (groups).
