The Swingtide draws inspiration from swing-era recordings and takes the listener into the world of scat singing and swing guitar. The band's rhythmic foundation is anchored by guitarist Aki Hauru and double bassist Juuso Rinta, with a style rooted in the jazz created by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli in the 1930s-40s - Tomi Kettunen's jazz guitar solos bring it into the present day.

The band's vocalist is Elina Kardén, whose rich voice is shaped by the influences of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. The programme draws on classic swing-era standards.

The concert takes place at Jäähuone in Café Meijerinliiteri on Saturday 25.7.2026 at 19:00. Tickets: 25 euros.
