The Swingtide is a Finnish swing ensemble drawing on jazz recordings from the 1930s and 40s, particularly the style of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. The group features jazz guitarist Tomi Kettunen alongside guitarist Aki Hauru and double bassist Juuso Rinta, with vocalist Elina Kardén - whose dark-toned voice is shaped by Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. Scat singing and swing guitar are at the heart of their sound.
