Geological Tour at Tytyri

Finland's Origins - Guided Geological Tour

The geological tour is conducted in collaboration with GTK and is built around the themes of the geological exhibition and the mine tour. During the tour, you will learn about the events that shaped Finland's formation and bedrock development, become acquainted with minerals and the rock types formed from them, and hear about Tytyri's mining history. The limestone quarrying at Tytyri is also presented, and the work of miners in different eras is discussed throughout the tour.

After the guided tour, you can stay in the mine to independently explore the art exhibition and themed cave. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and is suitable for children over 12 years old.

Entrance ticket for the entire mine and geological tour: 24.50 € / person. Children 0-4 years free.
