Ismo Alanko entered the consciousness of Finns in 1980 as the singer of Hassisen Kone and has since been a pioneer of Finnish rock. In addition to Hassisen Kone, he is known as the singer of Sielun Veljiet and Ismo Alanko Säätiö, as well as a solo artist - he began his solo career in the 1990s and has released seven studio albums.

During his over 40-year career, Alanko has sold nearly 700,000 records, won numerous Emma Awards, and sold out tours in every decade of his career. He is also known for his insightful lyrics that have remained in the minds of Finns.
