Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha

Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha is a Lapland-Balkan orchestra active since 2009, blending Balkan rhythms with traditional Finnish schlager. Over the years, the ensemble has absorbed influences from Georgia, Turkey, the Middle East, and Greece. Laitinen's lyrics range from classic love songs to reflections on consciousness and reality, and the search for a dark bottle in the night of Peräpohjola.

The band has released five studio albums and one live album, and won the Emma Award in the Ethno of the Year category. Known for its energetic performances, the orchestra has played in over 20 countries across Europe - from festival stages to village celebrations and smoky clubs.

Line-up: Jaakko Laitinen (vocals), Ilkka Arola (trumpet, buzuki), Marko Roininen (accordion), Juho Kanervo (bass), Janne Hast (drums).

Ticket price includes a 3 € service fee. Student tickets require a student ID or other proof of study. An assistant receives free entry with the assisted person's ticket.
