CKRM + KHHL

Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin and Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L embark on a joint tour in autumn 2026. The evenings are held at local workers' halls, volunteer organization premises, and community centres in August 2026. Doors open at 18.00, performances begin at 18.30 and last approximately 90 minutes including an intermission. The event is free. Organizer: Tanssikaari rf.

In Compañía Kaari & Roni Martin's performance, Arabic and Jewish musical traditions meet the rhythms of flamenco and Finnish joik. The group explores the significance of immigration and the role of minority cultures in the Finnish cultural landscape.

Pekko Käppi & K:H:H:L unearth older layers of Finnish and Karelian musical heritage and combine them with modern rhythm music and the conventions of various musical cultures. The programme features reki- and kalevalameter songs as well as joik - Europe's oldest string instrument.
