The Significance of the Starry Sky for Human Life

This lecture series explores the appearance of the starry sky and the worldviews that emerge from it. Constellations, planets visible to the naked eye, the movements of the Moon, and the stars, star clusters and galaxies in the sky are not merely objects of astronomy - their observation is connected in many ways to our daily lives and our understanding of time, Earth, gods and the universe.

The lecturer is a PhD and space philosopher Tuukka Perhoniemi from the Astronomical Society Ursa.
